Entire Educational Development Program

 

Even though we have achieved tremendous improvements in various fields, we couldn’t solve the problems facing by the individuals in the educational sector. Considering this, we have formulated a plan to improvise the educational levels in the institutions.
 
We couldn’t improve the results of S.S.L.C Exam in the past periods. All has a major role in this failure. If this situation continues, future of this Panchayath will be in the darkness.
 
In order to avoid this situation, a plan has being established. Govt. has fixed the number of pass outs in every year. Based on this students are being promoted without looking their academic performance. This is the main reason for the increase in failure for the board exams. The aim of our plan is to promote the students to the higher classes by improving their learning standards. So that they can perform well in their Exams. Grama Panchayath and Village Education Committee planed various programs to achieve this. As a part of this program, a monitoring committee for each subject, help of electronic medias, school library, developing the in born talents, public exams for classes 4 and seven , centralized valuation, giving mark list along with the T.C,etc are being made. To improve the teaching standards, encouragement for the teacher , participation of parents, improvise the atmosphere of schools, etc. are needed.
 
1. Panchayath Resource Centre
 
A Panchayath resource center is formed and working at G.U.P School, Chaliyappuram. Teachers, classified on the basis of classes from L.P School with in the limit of Panchayath and Teachers of U.P Schools classified on the basis of subjects are the members of these resource centre. These members will meet once in a month to share their experience , to discuss about problems, and to plan about the study materials. Teachers from High School will help these resource center in their respective subjects.
 
2. Special Coaching for backward students
 
By finding out the students who are very week in their studies, with the help of P.T.A , S.S.G, Service Organizations, Degree Students from Panchayath, special coaching classes will be arranged. Distributing aids to physically challenged students.
 
3. Awareness for P.T.A and M.T.A
 
1)Conducting parents meet in monthly basis for each class to discuss about students educational level,     problems in classes and schools.
2) Give awareness about the syllabus, monitoring methods, curricular activities, to the parents.
3) Improve social participation in School.
 
4. Educational improvement committee
 
Form a committee by including social activists, political-cultural activists, experts in educational sector headed by School Head Master and Panchayath Member to improve the activities of the schools.
 
5. Panchayath Monitoring Committess based on Subjects
 
Form a committee by including experts in various subjects. This committee will monitor the students’ standards in each subjects.
 
6. Publish Exam Results in School Level
 
Publishing Quarterly-Half Yearly results on the basis of each subjects, is being discussed in PTA, MTA and Educational Improvement Committee .
 
7. Publishing yearly results under the Panchayath
 
The yearly results are published according to the subjects, the mark obtained, moderation marks under the school level, and doing a comparative study in VEC in the Panchayath.
 
8. Compensating the lost working days
 
Holidays are used for compensating the lost working days.
 
9. Monitoring under VEC
 
Identifying the positives and negatives in academic, social and physical areas in the schools of Panchayath and report in the VEC and there after coming up with the activities to solve the negatives.
 
10. Public exam for 4th and 7th Classes
 
Conducting exams under VEC by considering the public timetable for 4th and 7th . Supervision of VEC will be there for conducting exams and also centralized valuation will be there. The results will be published under Panchayath level. The students will get the TC along with the Mark list, showing their marks obtained and the moderation marks.
 
11. Panchayath / School level magazines and diary
 
1) Publishing magazines in School level, including the creative talents of the students, their creative works,      writings etc.
2) Place a news board for the students to put the important news of each day in it.
3) Give diary to all students in each class to write.
4) Give chances of reading and making news papers to student.
5) Introduce a magazine of children in the Panchayath level.
 
12. Panchayath News Paper
 
Publish news papers to give the updated news about the educational standards and discuss about it. It will be published in these periods such as beginning of the year, after quarterly and half yearly exams. Exams results will be discussed in this. Selected stories, poems, write ups, drawings etc of students will be published in this.
 
13. Teachers Get-together
 
Conduct educational seminars, fare well parties etc by participating all teachers in the panchayath.
 
14. Trophy and cash awards for best schools
 
Trophy and awards worth Rs.5000/- ( Study materials) for a best schools from LP and UP section and for the school having highest percentage of pass outs.[ Award Distribution Photos ] [ Procession before receiving award ]
 
15. Improvising the School Library and Reading Room
 
For improvising the School Library and Reading Room, get books, news papers, magazines, furniture, etc.
 
16. Development of Extra Curricular Activities
 
1) Conduct competitions in arts – sports – science- mathematics- work experience and send selected winners to     participate in sub-district level competitions.
2) Distribute the things needed for sports items.
3) Form arts and literature clubs in all schools to increase the level of performance.
4) Conduct competitions in literature at least once in a month by participating all the students in class or school.
5) Conduct arts and sports festivals and send the winners to participate in panchayath level competitions.
6) Give rewards to the school level winners by the P.T.A
 
17. Tour
 
Conduct study tours and picnics for students on the class basis.
 
18. Computer Education
 
Computer Education form 5th Standard onwards is started in all schools. In Govt. Schools, Panchayath will set up the Computer Lab. In management schools with the help of publics – management , computer lab will be set.
 
19. Health –Science-Maths-English Camps
 
Form Health –Science-Maths-English Camps in U.P and High Schools and improve its level of performance. Make sure the availability of equipments needed for each camps.
 
20. Rewards for S.S.L.C and U.S.S Winners
 
Give rewards to the winners from the Panchayath.
 
21. P.M.C Training, Monitoring
 
Form Panchayath Monitoring Cells by including qualified and able persons for monitoring the Schools in Panchayth. Train them to make the School monitoring efficient.

P.M.C reports should be submitted in V.E.C and necessary actions to be taken to solve the problems of the schools.
 
22. Get together and Camps
 
Conduct cohabitation camps once in a year by participating teachers in the panchayth.

Give opportunite to the students, who are talented in various fields, to share their talents among others.

Exhibit creative works and study aids made by the students in panchayth level.

By making use of local R.Ps give special lessons to students and teacher ,on topics which are not trained well in regular classes.

Make a togetherness among teachers, students, parents, representatives of people and other social workers.

 
23. Scout & Guide , Kabb & BulBul
 
Introduce Scout & Guide in all U.P Section and Kabb & BulBul in L.P Section.
 
24. Improvising the learning standards of High School
 
Jilla Panchayath introduced a plan to improvise the learning standards in High Schools. Our aim is to make an entire development in the educational sector by combining this plan with the plan introduced by the Panchayth in Primary Educational Sector. We are planning to implement this scheme by ensuring help of Teachers from High Schools in each and every step.
