River Chaliyar was a cradle in the development
of Malabar's Economic and Culturalsector. This river starts
from the Western Ghats and ends in the Arabian Sea @ Beypore
near Calicut. In olden days, this river was the only means of
transportation, which was later evaded by the arrival of modern
means of transportation.

situated in between Kallikkad Forest and Chaliyar.
Kallikkad Forest
This forest spreads over an area around 10Acres
in the banks of Chaliyar. Very suitable for students
and research scholars.
