A part of Thamarassery-Tanur road now known as Koolimadu-Edavanappara-Kondotty road was constructed long back.

The main means of transportation during the olden periods was boats. Transportation of goods was also by this means. But the present situation has changed a lot. Roads connecting to Calicut and Ooty were constructed later and also the distance to national highways got reduced.

Every wards in this panchayath are connected with small roads. Bridges were also constructed to reduce the distance.

At present the services of 35 buses 80 taxi and 125 auto is obtained here .
